Puncture resistance and low rolling resistance are at opposite ends of the performance scale. Select your compromise. Also, fronts and rears don't have to be the same tire.

Any tire with air in it can fail at anytime regardless of the make or model. Always have a plan B when a tire fails at speed. Know what to do and carry what is necessary top get you rolling again....

Fat tires is the call for chip seal roads and worse. For baby butt smooth roads and trails, hard and narrow is the call. There are so many totally smooth trails in the mid west that riding rough roads...

In the 16" world, 349's, I believe that the Primo Comet is the fastest tire available. I run them at 90 psi for best performance, lower for best ride. Black wall only, no Kevlar reflective side walls...
